the New Aesthetic - but I wonder when this well will run dry. The transposition of the glitches, fuckups and limitations of the realm of digital representation into the physical world is interesting ONLY because it mirrors the progress of CGI, with all its desperate aping of the glitches, fuckups and limitations of other media. Look at the work put into mirroring or replicating things like lensflares, anamorphism in lenses… that’s where the feedback loop is interesting.
That said, that faceted copper skull - I want me that thing on a mantlepiece.
